Dr. Charlie Arndt brings a wealth of experience and a passion for transforming smiles to East Tennessee. Dr. Arndt completed her undergraduate and dental education at the University of Iowa. Continuing her education, she completed orthodontic residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
She is proficient in a vast array of appliances, including a variety of bracket systems, Invisalign® aligners, in-house aligners, CS Springs, Hyrax expanders, and MSE/MARPE.
With a comprehensive background in orthodontics, Dr. Arndt excels in treating patients of all age groups and complexities, from children in Phase I to teens and adults requiring comprehensive care. Her proficiency extends to managing treatment, including impacted canines, TAD placement, extraction and non-extraction methods, surgical decompensation, and post-surgical finishing.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail and systematic treatment planning, Dr. Arndt remains at the forefront of orthodontic technology, utilizing advancements such as 3D printing, dental photography, digital scans, and clear aligners to deliver optimal results.
Driven by a commitment to personalized care, Dr. Arndt tailors her treatment by identifying each patient’s unique needs and goals. She strives to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and cared for throughout their orthodontic journey.

“I contacted this office for an evaluation for my daughter when her pediatric dentist indicated that she would need braces soon. I made contact with several local Orthodontist and was told the cost would be around $8k and they required $1300 down the day of install & then 24 monthly payments of $216. I was a bit overwhelmed and started searching outside of our town & found the Smile Doctors listing on Google for Sevierville location. It was a wonderful experience start to finish! First, I did not consider that morning the school traffic and arrived 15 minutes late, they were understanding and seen my daughter despite being late to the appointment! The wait time wasn’t very long at all less than 15 minutes despite being late arriving. The evaluation was very informative and thorough the Orthodontist explained my daughter was a great candidate and showed me the X-rays and explained her condition along with answering any questions that I had. They then took us into a nearby office for her treatment plan details the phase 1 procedure/process was only $3900 total my insurance covered $1500. They were very helpful by reducing our down payment, our monthly payments after the down payment and insurance were only $141 a month. I was very pleased that the payments were almost half of what we were quoted at our local orthodontist offices. Also very relieved that they are installing in phases instead of going all in from the start. The office staff and Orthodontist were all very nice & professional along with helpful! We are very grateful that we sought out another Orthodontist and found Smile Doctors in Sevierville! Overall wonderful experience, budget friendly, payment options provided, cost was less than expected, treatment plan was much better than we were given as an expectancy with other providers. 5 Stars, Recommended Highly to others & we will continue to use this location for our daughters dental care provider for braces.”
