Dr. Sadie Cohen earned her engineering degree from Miami University before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Science at the University of Kentucky, where she also received her orthodontic certificate. She was drawn to orthodontics for the opportunity to build long-term relationships and support her patients’ confidence and growth throughout life’s milestones. She loves learning what makes each patient unique and hearing about their lives – whether it’s a new sport at school, starting a new job, or an exciting life event.

Known for her warm personality and natural ability to connect with others, Dr. Cohen thrives on creating a sense of community wherever she goes by bringing people together.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her with her husband, Matt, and their Black Labrador, Mulligan, enjoying walks or relaxing at local coffee shops and breweries. A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves discovering new restaurants and recreating recipes she finds online.

A smile can be transformative; it can connect people. There are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks to them all. I love to smile, and thanks to my childhood orthodontist, I wear my smile proudly.

I practiced general dentistry for several years before going on to specialize in orthodontics. As a general dentist, I often saw the effects of a “bad bite” on overall dental health—situations in which orthodontic treatment could have prevented other dental problems. Orthodontics provides me with the opportunity to lay a foundation for a healthy mouth while creating beautiful smiles. It is this balance of art and science that drew me into the profession and drives me to continuously progress as technology evolves.

I am originally from New England, having lived in Connecticut for most of my life. I am excited to have joined the Smile Doctors team. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling near and far, hiking, and playing tennis in a local USTA league. I also love baking (and eating) dessert! Occasionally, you’ll also find me reading about orthodontics after-hours…I can’t help my inner nerd!
