Dr. Nicole Teifer is an orthodontic specialist, speaker, trainer, and author. Since founding Today’s Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry in 2010, Dr. Teifer has tirelessly invested in training her Dream Team of smile specialists with the Ritz Carlton Leadership Center and the unparalleled Disney Institute to provide “extremely outrageous” service. When asked what makes her practice special, Dr. Teifer explained easily that many little things equal an unexpected and fun experience. “It’s the way our Dream Team cheers for our patients every day and our constant efforts to ensure our patients are always happy.” She continued, “even if that means making a new retainer for free when your golden retriever eats yours or telling parents to wait on treatment.

She writes professional newsletters, was a board member for the University of Detroit-Mercy’s Alumni which directs future dentists’ education, and has been recognized on Fox News. Dr. Teifer operates a large multi-clinic orthodontic and pediatric dental practice in Canton, Novi, Livonia, and Woodhaven. She donates more than $75,000 in orthodontics through Smiles Change Lives, Gift of A Smile, and Annual Dentistry from the Heart Day. Dr. Teifer keeps the area’s youth safe with mouthguard events that donate custom mouthguards to the young athletes. This safeguards thousands of smiles during sports.

The author of two best-selling consumer books, “Start Sharing Your Smile!” and “Invisalign Treatment Clearly Exposed,” Dr. Teifer has been recognized as one of the fastest- growing Invisalign® orthodontics practices. Hour Detroit Magazine and other dental providers recognized her as Top Orthodontist starting the first year her practice opened. Today’s offices currently have over 30,000 satisfied patients and families and counting, with patients traveling from as far away as New York and Las Vegas to be treated by Today’s smile specialists.

Dr. Teifer is a certified specialist in orthodontics. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in cellular and molecular biology. She then attended dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, where she received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). Her dream of becoming an orthodontist was fulfilled when she moved to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine for valuable orthodontic training and residency, a benchmark only six percent of all dentists achieve. At the U of Colorado-Denver, she earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in Orthodontics, all so she can unleash your best smile.

Dr. Teifer’s exceptional level of patient care earned her an award from Delta Dental, and she received the Spirit of Detroit Award for compassionate care of Detroit-area patients. She is also a committed provider for Smiles Change Lives (SCL), a community program that provides much-needed orthodontic care to children in Michigan. Most recently, her peers and patients selected her as a top orthodontist in Michigan, as seen in Hour Detroit Magazine. In addition to managing our fantastic private practice, Dr. Teifer is an author and speaker and was a guest professor at the University of Colorado and lectured about Invisalign.

Dr. Miranda Haas-Stroede grew up in Pinckney, Michigan. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Oakland University, where she ran Division I Cross Country and Track. Following her undergraduate studies, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. She continued her education at the University of Michigan in their three-year orthodontic residency program and graduated with her Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Haas-Stroede had many years of orthodontics while growing up, and she found the positive and fun environment of the orthodontic office a driving force in pursuing a career in the dental and orthodontic field. Dr. Haas-Stroede has wanted to be an orthodontist since she was 12 years old and loves getting to live out her dream.

In her free time, Dr. Haas-Stroede loves spending time with her family, including her husband and son. Dr. Haas-Stroede loves to read, play games, and spend time outside running and taking walks as a family. Dr. Haas-Stroede is also a huge Michigan fan and Detroit sports fan, especially the Lions and Michigan football.

After graduating from Osaka University in Japan, I trained under a highly skilled orthodontist. When my husband received a long-term assignment in the US, I saw a unique opportunity to further my knowledge in the country that sets the highest standards in orthodontics.

During my orthodontic residency at The Ohio State University, I honed my skills through a blend of rigorous education, clinical experience, and personal growth.

I also served as chief resident, which allowed me to refine my clinical skills and strengthen my leadership abilities. As chief resident, I led by example and worked to motivate my peers to become valuable team members dedicated to delivering the highest level of patient care.

In addition to gaining nearly a decade of orthodontic experience, I published research in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics back in 2021.
