Meet Our Orthodontists in St. Paul
Dr. Cindy Tran is a board-certified orthodontic specialist known for her enthusiasm and compassionate approach to patient care. She began her dental journey on the sunny shores of Southern California, where she graduated with honors from the University of California, San Diego.
Determined to explore the world beyond her hometown, she moved to Pittsburgh for dental school, traded flip-flops for snow boots, and graduated at the top of her class with academic honors. She ultimately found her way to beautiful Missouri for her orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedics residency, earning her master’s degree and specialty certificate from St. Louis University.
Dr. Tran’s enduring love for puzzles and art translates seamlessly into her passion for orthodontics, allowing her to approach treatment planning with both thoughtfulness and creativity. Her patient-centered approach comes from her belief that exceptional care should always consider the patient as an individual, and that establishing a healthy occlusion is critical to maintaining a healthy life.
Armed with determination and a good winter coat, Dr. Tran can be found enjoying her community and walking the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul any time of year. She loves exploring the city, nearby parks, and Minnesota’s many beautiful lakes.
Dr. Abby Syverson was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended George Washington University in Washington DC where she completed her bachelor’s degree and was captain of the varsity volleyball team. She received her Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she received various academic, clinical, and research awards. Dr. Syverson graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society as well as the nationally prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She continued her Ivy League training at Penn where she completed her residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During residency, she was recognized for her excellence in clinical care with the Rouff Orthodontics Scholarship Award.
Dr. Syverson is excited to be back in the Twin Cities and provide superb orthodontic care to the St. Paul community. She believes improving your smile can be transformative and loves to learn about the person behind the smile. While not in the office, Dr. Syverson enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and being outdoors. You might find her biking along the Mississippi or at a park with her daughter.
