Meet Our Orthodontists in Saginaw

Rich Resler
Dr. Rich Resler

I love meeting new people every day and seeing our adolescent patients transform throughout the duration of their orthodontic treatment. I enjoy the differences and unique challenges and situations that we address in each individual’s life and orthodontic care. I truly love learning; no day ever passes without me learning something new from our patients, and I do my very best to ensure that each and every patient has an enjoyable and engaging experience before, during, and after orthodontic treatment.

I essentially “grew up” within the practice of Resler Orthodontics and watched my father, Dr. Resler Sr., provide the highest level of individualized care for the families of the Saginaw community from the time that I was a young boy. I had various jobs in the office throughout my youth and young adulthood that taught me the foundations of orthodontics from a very early age, and I am extremely grateful for that experience and exposure that helped to ultimately prepare me for my career as an orthodontist today.

Education And Continuing Education

After graduating from Heritage High School in 1996, I attended Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology in 2000. I continued on to the Medical University of South Carolina, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004. My Master of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics were received at Temple University School of Dentistry in 2006. I exclusively practiced orthodontics for three years at Temple University and have been in private practice with Resler Orthodontics for over ten years.

Professional Memberships

I stay very active in continuing education in order to keep up to date on diagnosis and treatment procedures as well as emerging medical conditions and their treatments as related to orthodontics. Technology has dramatically changed the field of orthodontics over the last ten years, and staying current with this technology allows us to optimize treatment results and minimize treatment time and discomfort. Since so much of orthodontics is related to beauty and esthetics, it is imperative that we focus on continuing education in relation to the patient’s appearance as a whole rather than their teeth alone. I further my orthodontic education with memberships in the Schulman Study Group, the Progressive Study Club, and the Northern Michigan Orthodontic Study Club.

Professional Organizations

To aid in furthering my continuing education, I am also a member of the Temple University Orthodontic Alumni Association, the Medical University of South Carolina Alumni Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Dental Association, the Saginaw Valley District Dental Society, and the Saginaw County Dental society. I have also been certified by the State of Michigan Board of Orthodontists.

Tracie Resler
Dr. Tracie Resler

Dr. Tracie Resler dreamed of creating confident smiles from the time she began her own early orthodontic treatment as a child. After graduating as valedictorian from Columbia College in South Carolina, she went on to pursue her doctorate in dental medicine from the MUSC College of Dental Medicine in Charleston. A coastal Carolina girl at heart, she traded the beach for the mountains when she moved to Nashville, TN to complete her orthodontic residency at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Resler has always been extremely passionate about using science and medicine to help people, but she also loves drawing, designing, and expressing her creativity. Orthodontics allows her to combine her medical knowledge with artistry as she creates beautiful, healthy smiles for each patient she has the pleasure of treating. Dr. Resler is dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care to her new community, and remains at the cutting edge of her industry through involvement with a number of professional associations.

After marrying her dental school sweetheart, Dr. Richard Resler, she relocated to the Midwest and has embraced Michigan weather. Outside of the office, Dr. Resler enjoys skiing and sledding with her husband and their two beachy-haired boys. Of course, she still stays in touch with her East Coast roots and loves making the most of summertime, too.

“Dr. Tracie Resler and Resler Orthodontics in Clio is by far the best place for comprehensive orthodontic treatment in the area! Dr. Resler and her team take the time to explain treatment with patients, provide thorough evaluations and are genuinely concerned about the patient’s health. I will continue to refer friends and family to Resler Orthodontics! Don’t wait to call!”

“We have been coming to Relser Orthodontics since 2017 as I have four children, who at one point in time were all in braces at once, yikes! By the way, four kids, seven rounds, and we only have two more rounds to go! Our dentist highly recommended we go see Dr. Resler and I am so glad he did! Dr. Resler was thorough and did not rush us into any treatment, explaining that, in my one child’s cas,e he would watch and return in a year. After that year, we returned, and Dr. Resler still recommended waiting a year to begin treatment. Now we have one round of braces completed and will begin another when he feels that time is right based on his examination. Dr. Resler is always friendly, explains things to both the parent and child, and we never feel rushed, even though I am sure he is quite busy. The entire staff there is also the best, always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going to Resler Orthodontics…I have a lot of smiles in my house to prove it!”
