Meet Our Orthodontists in Rochester
Dr. Salman is a Michigan native. She grew up in Kalamazoo. She considers herself to be a true Michigan Wolverine, having spent eleven straight years at the University of Michigan for her undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic specialty training.
After Dr. Salman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience, she initially considered pursuing a graduate degree in that field but decided to switch gears to dentistry after observing all the fun her brother was having in dental school.
While in dental school, Dr. Salman fell in love with orthodontics. She feels that orthodontics is the perfect combination of science, art, and patient care that allows her to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of others.
After completing her residency training, she spent time practicing in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She is happy to return home to Michigan to be closer to her family and friends in the area and is so excited to join the TDR team.
In her free time, Dr. Salman enjoys cooking, hiking, yoga, reading non-fiction, and traveling to new places.
Dr. Esther Suh, originally from Northbrook, Illinois, completed the entirety of her academic training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor over 11 years. She earned undergraduate degrees in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience, and biomolecular science, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and master’s degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Suh believes orthodontics is more than straightening teeth — it’s about building confidence, forming relationships, and helping patients feel proud of their smiles. Inspired by her own orthodontic experience as a teenager, she combines clinical precision with a compassionate, personalized approach. She takes time to understand each patient’s goals, striving to make every visit comfortable, collaborative, and even enjoyable. Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, Dr. Suh stays current with advancements in the field to provide the highest quality of care.
Outside the office, she enjoys time with her husband, Brandon, cheering on the Detroit Lions and Michigan football (Go Blue!), gardening, traveling, and exploring the Michigan outdoors.
