Meet Our Orthodontists in Novi – W 12
Dr. Nicole Teifer is an orthodontic specialist, speaker, trainer, and author. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in cellular and molecular biology and went on to receive her DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Her dream of becoming an orthodontist was fulfilled when she earned a master’s degree and completed her orthodontic certificate at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
As the founder of Today’s Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Teifer is passionate about making all aspects of the orthodontic experience seamless and fun. Her commitment to excellence has earned her the Spirit of Detroit Award and designation as a top orthodontist in Michigan by Hour Detroit Magazine.
In addition to her hands-on time creating confident smiles, Dr. Teifer writes professional newsletters and invests in several philanthropic initiatives within the dental community. She has also served as a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Teifer lives in Birmingham with her husband and two white Westie dogs, Lily and Spike.
Dr. Jessica Hazzard is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, she received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Detroit Mercy and went on to earn her DDS from the same institution’s dental school. She then completed her general practice dentistry residency at the VA hospital in Ann Arbor. Upon earning her certificate, Dr. Hazzard made her first big move away from Michigan to pursue her orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she also obtained her master’s degree.
Dr. Hazzard is thrilled to be back in her hometown creating beautiful smiles. She is passionate about treating each patient like family and building trusting relationships with the families she serves. In her effort to provide the most innovative care possible, Dr. Hazzard’s research has been published by the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Hazzard enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, camping, and spending time on the water. When she’s not in the great outdoors, she enjoys reading, movie marathons, and going to concerts.
