Dr. Joseph Facciolo is a proud Wilmington, Delaware local and is one of four brothers who are various healthcare providers in our state. He grew up in Wilmington, graduated from Salesianum School, and later attended the University of Delaware to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. Dr. Facciolo obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2013, where he earned the highest honor, summa cum laude. During dental school, Dr. Facciolo excelled and was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, while receiving clinical awards in pediatric dentistry and academic honors.

Following dental school, Dr. Facciolo completed a hospital-based residency program in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at Christiana Care Hospital. Cherishing this opportunity, he gained profound knowledge in hospital dentistry and completed rotations in the emergency medicine and anesthesia departments.

After residency, Dr. Facciolo furthered his studies in Boston, MA, by completing specialty training in orthodontics and received his certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, along with a master’s degree in oral and cranial biology from Boston University.

In his free time, Dr. Facciolo enjoys spending time with his family and taking trips with his wife, Ashley, and two children, Roma and Antonio. In his downtime, he enjoys learning and staying current with literature and new treatment techniques through various continuing education. He also enjoys exercising, playing soccer, and traveling to new places, and he is always open to ideas when planning a new adventure!

Dr. Facciolo’s goal is to establish life-long relationships with patients in his community, all in a friendly practice environment that is both positive and fun, while providing premium care with the best knowledge and education possible.
