Meet Our Orthodontists in Madison
Dr. Jim Schmidt believes each patient deserves as much of his attention as it takes to achieve the smile of their dreams. With over 20 years of smile design experience, Dr. Jim considers everything in designing each person’s unique smile, from tooth position, shape, and smile arch to soft tissue range of motion and facial form.
He attended Saint Norbert College, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology. Later, he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Marquette University.
Dr. Jim also underwent in-depth training and earned his certification in prosthodontics from The Ohio State University. He then earned his advanced degree in Orthodontics by completing more comprehensive training at the State University of New York at Buffalo, focusing on treating mild to complex malocclusions.
Dr. Jim also took the Roth-Williams Course on Advanced Excellence in Orthodontics, mastering an innovative approach to correcting the bite and aligning the teeth to craft a healthy, functional, attractive smile.
Dr. Jim is one of three orthodontists in the State of Wisconsin who hold dual specialty degrees in prosthodontics and orthodontics.
