Dr. Nicole Teifer is an orthodontic specialist, speaker, trainer, and author. Since founding Today’s Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry in 2010, Dr. Teifer has tirelessly invested in training her Dream Team of smile specialists with the Ritz Carlton Leadership Center and the unparalleled Disney Institute to provide “extremely outrageous” service. When asked what makes her practice special, Dr. Teifer explained easily that many little things equal an unexpected and fun experience. “It’s the way our Dream Team cheers for our patients every day and our constant efforts to ensure our patients are always happy.” She continued, “even if that means making a new retainer for free when your golden retriever eats yours or telling parents to wait on treatment.

She writes professional newsletters, was a board member for the University of Detroit-Mercy’s Alumni which directs future dentists’ education, and has been recognized on Fox News. Dr. Teifer operates a large multi-clinic orthodontic and pediatric dental practice in Canton, Novi, Livonia, and Woodhaven. She donates more than $75,000 in orthodontics through Smiles Change Lives, Gift of A Smile, and Annual Dentistry from the Heart Day. Dr. Teifer keeps the area’s youth safe with mouthguard events that donate custom mouthguards to the young athletes. This safeguards thousands of smiles during sports.

The author of two best-selling consumer books, “Start Sharing Your Smile!” and “Invisalign Treatment Clearly Exposed,” Dr. Teifer has been recognized as one of the fastest- growing Invisalign® orthodontics practices. Hour Detroit Magazine and other dental providers recognized her as Top Orthodontist starting the first year her practice opened. Dr. Teifer is a certified specialist in orthodontics. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in cellular and molecular biology. She then attended dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, where she received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). Her dream of becoming an orthodontist was fulfilled when she moved to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine for valuable orthodontic training and residency, a benchmark only six percent of all dentists achieve. At the U of Colorado-Denver, she earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in Orthodontics, all so she can unleash your best smile.

Dr. Teifer’s exceptional level of patient care earned her an award from Delta Dental, and she received the Spirit of Detroit Award for compassionate care of Detroit-area patients. She is also a committed provider for Smiles Change Lives (SCL), a community program that provides much-needed orthodontic care to children in Michigan. Most recently, her peers and patients selected her as a top orthodontist in Michigan, as seen in Hour Detroit Magazine. In addition to managing our fantastic private practice, Dr. Teifer is an author and speaker and was a guest professor at the University of Colorado and lectured about Invisalign.

Dr. Jessica Hazzard is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, she received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Detroit Mercy and went on to earn her DDS from the same institution’s dental school. She then completed her general practice dentistry residency at the VA hospital in Ann Arbor. Upon earning her certificate, Dr. Hazzard made her first big move away from Michigan to pursue her orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she also obtained her master’s degree.

Dr. Hazzard is thrilled to be back in her hometown creating beautiful smiles. She is passionate about treating each patient like family and building trusting relationships with the families she serves. In her effort to provide the most innovative care possible, Dr. Hazzard’s research has been published by the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Hazzard enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, camping, and spending time on the water. When she’s not in the great outdoors, she enjoys reading, movie marathons, and going to concerts.

Dr. Arsen was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia, and is fluent in Armenian, English, and Russian. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience.

He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. Following graduation from dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency at The Ohio State University, where he gained experience in hospital dentistry, managing medically compromised patients, and acquired extensive pediatric dental experience.

He continued his education, specializing in pediatric dentistry at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he received his Master of Science in Dentistry degree, with a research concentration in training the rural oral health workforce.

He currently resides in Troy, Michigan, and is committed to providing the best possible care, holding a board certification in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Arsen is a devoted Michigan Wolverine (Go Blue!), and he enjoys watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog, Archie.
