Dr. Megann Lear chose orthodontics because she finds joy in the transformative process it brings to her patients’ lives. Building lasting relationships and witnessing the confidence boost that comes with a beautiful smile are among the most rewarding aspects for her. She takes pride in providing exceptional care and achieving the best outcomes for every patient that she treats.

Dr. Lear earned her undergraduate degree from DePauw University, where she captained the women’s soccer team — go Tigers! She continued her journey at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, and graduated with honors. Dr. Lear received her orthodontic training at Indiana University, refining her skills and establishing a solid foundation in the field.

Originally from Indiana, Dr. Lear is thrilled to practice in the Chicagoland area. Outside of work, she enjoys reading (recommendations welcome!), trying new restaurants, petting all the dogs, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Our practice is unique in that I am Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontists, an achievement only 35% of doctors attain. Beautiful North Shore smiles have come out of this practice for over 65 years.

Getting an exceptional education was extremely important, as it has allowed me to consistently provide my patients with excellent care. It is not enough to get a great education in dental school and in a residency, because it also takes thousands of hours of continuing education throughout my career to stay at the forefront of my field.
