I feel so honored and privileged to serve the South Shore area’s Orthodontic needs. Being a part of the amazing communities in Hanover, Weymouth, and Cohasset, and creating hundreds of confident and beautiful smiles each year, provides the ultimate reward for me.

There is no better feeling than meeting a young patient for the first time, knowing that they are very nervous, and then seeing them become more comfortable with us as the appointment goes on. Dentistry and orthodontics have come so far over the years, and we are proud to provide an exceptionally positive experience in our offices.

We have a great team and try to be very attentive to our patients, truly respecting their time and needs. Communication is one of our key pillars, and we focus on the whole patient, not just their teeth.

I am proud to be a Massachusetts native, born and raised in Methuen on the North Shore. I attended school at Harvard College, followed by Tufts Dental School and an orthodontic program. I must thank my many dental role models (often, my friends’ parents!) for introducing me to the field. After graduation, I moved to the South Shore and have been serving this area ever since.

I love spending time with my wife and two children. We are active in outdoor sports and activities, keeping a busy schedule of hockey, tennis, golf, fishing, biking and skiing! Being local, it’s incredibly important to me to give back to the community that has been my home for so many years. I ride yearly in the Pan Mass Challenge which is the largest fundraiser for The Jimmy Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Throughout the year, my offices also participate in local charitable organizations and events.

I love seeing patients every day and interacting with my team. The actual treatments are often like puzzles and solving them can be a challenge that is very rewarding in the end. Orthodontics is a team sport! We all work together to achieve best in class clinical outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

I am proud of the many contributions my team and I have made over the years. And I look forward to creating many more smiles in our community for years to come.

Dr. Maggie Wu is a board-certified orthodontist who enjoys helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized orthodontic care. She values building lasting relationships with patients and families and is committed to creating a positive, supportive experience throughout every smile journey.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Boston University, Dr. Maggie earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University School of Medicine before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, she was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She continued her education at New York University, where she completed her three-year orthodontic residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Maggie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains active membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and Massachusetts Dental Society.

Drawn to orthodontics by its combination of precision, creativity, and problem-solving, Dr. Maggie enjoys developing individualized treatment plans and watching her patients’ confidence grow throughout treatment. She is proud to be part of each patient’s smile journey.

Outside the office, Dr. Maggie enjoys group fitness classes, discovering new restaurants and local coffee shops, traveling, and cheering on her favorite Boston sports teams. She is proud to serve patients and families at Hanover Orthodontics in Hanover, Massachusetts.
