Meet Our Orthodontists in Frisco
A native Texan, Dr. Lynn Hurst graduated from Southwestern University (Georgetown, Texas) in 1979 with a degree in biology and minor in chemistry. In 1984, he received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by his Specialty Certificate and MS (Master of Science) with honors in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
Upon graduation, Dr. Hurst entered private practice in San Antonio, Texas, where he practiced orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics for 20 years. After 1 year in practice, he joined the faculty at his dental alma mater, UTHSCSA, and has been involved in orthodontic education and research ever since.
In addition to being a board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Hurst is a member of and actively involved in numerous professional organizations. He also had the distinct privilege of serving as Founding Dean for the College of Dental Medicine at the Roseman University of Health Sciences (Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah) and serves as the as the Founding President and CEO at SmileRx (formerly Texas Orthodontics) from 2009-Present.
