"I was skeptical about getting braces at first but then I went to Valeriano Orthodontics. I went in and went to the touch screen sign in system. Then I went to the table of ipads and played fun games until my orthodontist called me up. She asked me if I wanted to brush my teeth at the table and I did. then I went to the very comfortable seat and had my checkup and the great thing is is that it only took five minutes! Then I get my V bucks if I did good and I can use my V bucks to buy fun gift cards for target or a restaurant! I love my orthodontist because I get treated right and I have fun while doing it. "The first time I walked in, i got a warm welcome into the office with step by step where things are and what you have to do. There was SO many things to do while you wait just a few minutes. You can read a magazine or watch TV or even play on the iPad. The Coffee from the Keurig machine is great and easy to use. When it is time to start someone will walk you back to the office to get you started. When they are done you get a take-away bag with something so you never leave empty handed. I had such a great time there and so will you!"

Meet Our Orthodontists in Charlotte
Dr. Valeriano earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Valeriano then spent a year in hospital residency at Stony Brook University. After two years of general dentistry, he realized his true passion — creating beautiful, healthy smiles. He returned to the State University of New York at Stony Brook to specialize in orthodontics.
Dr. Valeriano enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two daughters. Together, they love traveling and trying new restaurants in Charlotte. He also enjoys golfing, biking, gardening, and exercising on his Peloton every day. Did we mention … he likes to golf?

Dr. Sophie Moon earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan and further advanced her skills with a Master of Science degree in orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is board-certified with extensive training and expertise in the field of orthodontics.
With a deep commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr. Moon brings a comprehensive and personalized approach to orthodontic treatment. She works closely with referring dentists to ensure seamless communication and optimal outcomes for patients of all ages. She is committed to providing innovative care, integrating the latest advancements in orthodontics with proven methods to deliver optimal results for her patients.
When she’s not perfecting smiles, you’ll find her biking through city streets or planning her next road trip adventure with her husband. She has a Corgi and is a proud member of the Charlotte Corgi Club!
