Orthodontists in Charlotte

Dr. Claire Fedore grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, where her father, an all-star dentist and lifelong Michigan State Spartans fan, introduced her to dentistry at an early age. After experiencing orthodontic treatment herself to correct a missing lateral incisor, Dr. Claire became fascinated by the artistry and science of moving teeth and knew she wanted to pursue orthodontics.

She spent 11 years in Ann Arbor, earning her undergraduate degree in Environmental Chemicals and Disease from the University of Michigan before completing dental school in 2013 and her orthodontic residency in 2016. During residency, she served as chief resident and program president and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She also served as first author on a publication in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research, exploring the use of polycaprolactone scaffolds in craniofacial tissue mineralization.

Dr. Claire brings an artistic eye for smile design, careful attention to detail, and an organized approach to creating efficient, individualized treatment plans. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them feel confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

Outside of the office, Dr. Claire remains a die-hard Michigan State Spartans fan, despite her years as a Wolverine. She enjoys skiing, fly fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, musicals, coffee, and spending time at Walloon Lake and in Montana. She has also been skydiving in Tanzania over Mount Kilimanjaro and hopes to climb it someday.

Dr. Matt Lineberger brings boundless energy, optimism, and creativity to orthodontics. As the self-described “vision guy” at Lineberger Orthodontics, he loves dreaming up new ways to make the office a fun, welcoming place for patients and genuinely enjoys connecting with families through conversation, music, and the occasional fist bump. An American Board of Orthodontics-certified orthodontist, he is committed to creating confident smiles for patients of all ages.

Dr. Matt earned his master’s degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, working with renowned orthodontist Dr. James McNamara. His research on rapid maxillary expansion in hyperdivergent patients was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He offers braces and Invisalign® treatment and is a Diamond Plus Invisalign® provider, placing him among the top 1% of providers worldwide.

A lifelong Tar Heel, Dr. Matt spent much of his childhood in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, and even lived on a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands for a year. Outside the office, he enjoys music, hunting for retro Air Jordans, and discussing wonderfully terrible movies with anyone willing to listen. His enthusiasm and sense of humor are very much part of what makes Lineberger Orthodontics unique.

Dr. Gabriel Valencia was born in Colombia and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, as a child. He later relocated to New York, where his journey toward a career in dentistry began to take shape. After earning his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, Dr. Gabe went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and complete his orthodontic specialty training at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.

During his time at Buffalo, he developed advanced skills in creating beautiful, functional smiles tailored to each patient’s needs. Now back in North Carolina, Dr. Gabe feels deeply fulfilled caring for patients of all ages — right here in the community he first called home.

Outside the office, Dr. Gabe loves traveling the world, cooking, exploring hiking trails, rollerblading, and has recently gotten involved in weightlifting. Whether discovering new cuisines abroad, staying active, or enjoying the great outdoors close to home, he brings the same passion for exploration and connection that he shares with his patients every day.
