A Northern Michigan childhood shaped Dr. Drew’s vision of easy-going compassionate care, community service, and commitment to family. He’s a golfer and hockey player, a hunter, a fisherman and a person who is completely involved and dedicated to the lives and happiness of others. He enjoys goofing around and being outside. There’s no place he’d rather be than hanging out and relaxing with his wife, Laura, their three children and other family members.

Quick with a joke, a friendly greeting or a look at his wild socks (please feel free to ask), Dr. Drew makes adults and kids comfortable. He chose a career in orthodontics because he knows great smiles gives patients confidence and improves their lives. As for his qualifications, Dr. Drew’s education and experience have prepared him to be a leader in Michigan. He’s been honored and achieved exceptional recognition at every level of his schooling.

As a highly regarded professional, Dr. Drew earns praise from colleagues but takes the satisfaction of patients as the ultimate reward. Here’s a quick look at his background:

You’re likely to see Dr. Drew out and about coaching a youth league team, volunteering at community service and school outings or grabbing a bite to eat with his family. He’s the same guy out of the office as he is in it, so get ready for a high five or a cheerful greeting.

Dr. Michael Hoy returned home to Michigan after years of education and training around the country. Originally from South Lyon, he earned a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish from Adrian College. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of
Kentucky and his Master of Science in orthodontics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Hoy is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized orthodontic care. His approach is rooted in commitment to excellence, compassion, and service. Giving back to the community has always been a guiding value in both his personal and professional life.

Dr. Hoy is married to Alexandria, a pediatric dentist, and they have a son. As animal lovers, they have five animals to complete their household, with two dogs and three cats. Outside the office, you can find him golfing, watching hockey, reading, or enjoying the outdoors with his family.
