Meet Our Orthodontists in Schaumburg
Dr. Rutger Stache is a lifelong Illinois resident and loves being an orthodontist. He thinks there is nothing more rewarding than transforming his patients’ smiles and seeing their reactions when their smiles are revealed!
After graduating from Wheaton North High School, he completed his undergraduate studies, dental school, and an additional 3-year orthodontics residency, all at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He currently lives in Glen Ellyn with his wife, Dr. Laurie Stache (also an orthodontist), their daughter Sadie, and their black lab Zeke!
Outside the office, Dr. Stache is an avid runner and has ambitions to complete all 6 World Marathon Majors. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.

“Cannot say enough good things about H&V! Two years ago, I was referred to them by a friend after I had been turned down by multiple orthodontist and dentists for Invisalign or traditional braces. Most were saying I needed surgery before braces. After consulting with Dr. Stache he said none of that was necessary and I could choose between traditional braces or Invisalign and that treatment would be about two years. I went with Invisalign and I am so happy with how it turned out! I was able to do weekly scans through their app to see how my progress was tracking which made it really easy. The staff is genuine and incredible always making you feel welcome and at home no matter who you work with. Today was my removal day and I still can’t believe how quick and easy everything was. I am so grateful to have found H&V they have changed my life for the better.”
